Top Ten Styling Products For Fall Reviewed

Ok guys, we need you to pay attention to this one.  Hairsprays are actually different and do different things for different hair styles.

If your hair usually falls out of place and is hard to manage or keep in control and your hairspray is the nly product you are using, you are probably either 1. not using a hairspray that is designed to hold all day or 2. you are only using a hairspray and not combining it with any other products to create the style like the styling cream or the grip tight product above.

What are some of the best hair products for Men?

So something that most style and hair blogs forget about are the men that read them.  They forget to mention that Men actually do care as much about their hair as Women and secretly read up on what products they should be using, what happens when their hair starts to thin, how can they keep from loosing more hair, what products are good for their hair and skin, how can they control acne and breakouts, especially when they are in the work place after college and are too old to be getting break outs, and so this post is for you guys and for your men.

Secretly and not so secretly Men (not just the metrosexuals and gays) are being more open about their concerns with their hair.  Going bald sucks and watching your hair start to thin can stink too.  Men weren’t always as privy to products for thin or fine hair and so if their hair starts to thin, and their styling products no longer work, they are all of the sudden at a loss, where as Women have been playing with these types of products all of their lives and are more easily able to switch to a new product or styling product if they notice their hair is damaged, dry, if they have fine hair or a friend who has curls and unfortunately most men don’t get that.

Remembering when I was a Platinum Blond and How I kept my hair healthy.

I recently moved and although I hate moving, as I am sure you all have had the same stress that comes along with it, one thing I do love is finding photos and photo albums that you packed away or somehow got lost in a closet and reliving old memories.

One of the photo albums I found had pictures of me in College when I used to have platinum blond hair.  It would take easily an hour with some very strong hair bleach on my head to get my hair that gorgeous shade of white/blond, but I also remember how horrible it itched and how it felt like it was burning my scalp.  Little did I know that you could bleach without hitting your scalp which I eventually started to do (I could have seriously used that info when I first started lol) but luckily my stylist did set me up with some products that actually helped me to not feel so much irritation after we would finish with my hair and help me to almost instantly have healthy and silky feeling and looking hair again within a day or two.

Without the knowledge and products that my stylist gave me, I probably would have lost my hair or had so much breakage that I would have needed to cut it off or shorten it, but since I had a great person to get advice from, I was able to prepare ahead of time for future bleachings when I started using him and treat my hair afterwards so that it not only looked gorgeous, but I could also keep my blond hair lookin natural, shiny and healthy.

The Bed Head Dumb Blond shampoo was awesome.  Unlike the other shampoos that I had been using before, this one did not agitate my scalp or hurt when I would put it on.  It would also actually feel relaxing in my hair when I would let it sit and when I would wash it out, my hair felt amazing.  It even looked like it was repaired after the first use.  I loved this product and was grateful when my stylist showed it to me, but then when he introduced me to the Joico Ice products for styling, he really won me and my damaged hair over.

Spiker Ice from Joico was amazing and it also fit my budget since I was a college student.  The glue inside the tube of Spiker Ice was easy to work with on my hair and gave me instant hold which I loved.  I also used the white glue and it never once damaged the color or stained my hair either.   ICE would also dry very fast and the best part is my hands would be pretty much spotless after I was finished styling my hair.

The lack of clean up and with all of the vitamins in these products made them idea for my lifestyle of needing affordable and good for bleached hair products that also fit into a college students budget.

Without the help of my Stylist teaching me how to properly treat my hair before and after bleaching, I probably would have lost all my hair from it breaking and wouldn’t have known what to do, so thank you again Dominic for showing me how to properly treat bleached hair and get it back to health.

How to do a Mens Hairstyle that is professional & executive looking

So ladies and gentlemen, something most moms and girlfriends wonder about their sons or boyfriends, even husbands sometimes is “Does the man in my life dress appropriate and is his hair professional looking enough to be looked at repectfully at work?”  Sure we may not want to admit it out loud and some of us may just let it go, but if you were ever in my family, you would hear it on a daily basis, “Hunny, your hair looks a mess, fix it up nice and neat so that people will take you serious!”

My mom would say that to my dad, she would say it to my friends and really just about anyone who didn’t have a hairstyle that she would think was proper and professional enough for the workplace, so I figured why not share a hairstyle that is still hip and trendy, sexy enough to wear out after work to a happy hour and is easy enough to do that you can have your hair done within 2 minutes!  Because we know, most guys usually don’t want to take to long (or at least admit to having to spend to much time) on their hair and appearance.

So this post is designed to help you help all the men in your life have a hairstyle that is professional enough to stand in front of an executive team with, fun and youthfull enough to go to a happy hour or party in and still classy enough to feel good about yourself in.  It is perfect for men from the age of 20 to 60.

Now this hairstyle does require a few things:

1. Short hair.  Anything hanging below your ears is a bit to long.

2. Product – I use a lasting hairspray that will get through the day and start to break in the evening.  (You can always redo this if you want it to stay the same at night, remember it only takes two minutes to do and can be done anywhere!)

3.  Two minutes from your day in the morning after you get dressed.

Anyways, here is how to do this mens professional hairstyle in two minutes time and the products I use.

1.  Start by washing your hair:

I wash mine every day but if you do every other day or every two days, this style will still work well for you, if not easier.  You just won’t have as many defined lines in your bangs or on your head, instead you will have thicker strands.
